Beautiful authentic vintage Bates “George Washington’s Choice” bedspread in double/full size, featuring the original sewn-in Bates label that reads:

“George Washington’s Choice”

This is one of Bates’ classic historic patterns, originally introduced in 1940 and known for its elegant white-on-white raised candlewick/hobnail texture. The design includes floral motifs, urns, geometric details, a striking central medallion, and decorative fringe along the edge. Double check the research.

The older Bates label/logo style dates approximately to 1944–1961, making this a true mid-century vintage piece with wonderful history and character.
