Vintage Ardalt Fiori-Blanco White Italian Candelabra #5495 Pristine!
This candelabra is a white earthenware (creamware) with a Dresden style rococo pattern in raised relief and applied flowers, modeled by hand and luted (stuck with clay slip) to the main body and cover before firing. There is no noticeable damage and looks to be in pristine condition!
The mark on the base reads \"Fiori Bianco\" -meaning \"white flowers\" in Italian and was the design name given to a line of decorative ware made by quite a well known pottery in Nove, Italy, headed by Antionio Zen.It was marketed in the US from 1948 to 1962 by a New York importer called Ardalt and the \"5493\" number is a customer reference code.
The workmanship is extremely detailed and pleasing, and much skill and time went into it.
The piece is exceptionally clean with no noticeable damage observed.
