Offered for sale is a German police-style greatcoat and a pair of trousers, acquired together and attributed to a police officer who served in Straß, Austria.
According to the provenance information supplied at the time of purchase, the garments were associated with a military medical facility in Straß.
The greatcoat features blue-green fabric, a full lining, turned-back cuffs, a metal-thread police sleeve eagle, and silver-coloured shoulder boards with green backing, each displaying a single rank pip and a medical serpent emblem. One button is clearly marked “ASSMANN,” while other photographed buttons bear quality markings including “EXTRA FEIN” and “HOCHFEINE QUALITÄT.”
The trousers feature a button fly, brace buttons, a rear pocket and turned-up hems.
An interesting addition to a German militaria collection, with distinctive details and a reported connection to Straß that offers an opportunity for further historical research.
The greatcoat and trousers are sold together since they were found together. Please review all photographs carefully, as they form part of the description and show the condition of the items.
