Vintage matchbook from the Hawaiian Regent Hotel, located at 2552 Kalakaua Avenue in Honolulu, Hawaii, overlooking the beach at the scenic side of Waikiki by Diamond Head. Natural craft-paper brown cover with dark brown lettering and graphics. The front panel features a large stylized \"R\" monogram emblem centered above \"hawaiian REGENT\". Condition: Unstruck matchbook. Light, clean craft-paper cover showing minimal age-related edge wear, subtle corner rounding, and light surface creasing along the top fold. Single center staple is intact, firm, and secure. All match splints are present, intact, and completely unstruck with original dark brown heads. Dark striker strip remains clean and completely unused.
Background: The Hawaiian Regent Hotel opened its doors in the early 1970s as a premier luxury oceanfront destination along Waikiki\'s Kalakaua Avenue, famous for its sweeping views of Diamond Head and the Pacific coastline. The property was later rebranded and operates today as the Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa.
