Authentic Prehistoric Racoon Effigy Pipe. Fine.:

This is a very nice and rare pipe that is an effigy of a racoon. Made out of hard high grade steatite that is
commonly called Chlorite in the Southeast. Very dense and heavy.
Fine condition, high workmanship and polish.
I believe this is a type of statuary pipe, and I am not sure but would guess it is of the Hopewell or Ft. Ancient Culture.
61/4" long from nose to tail, 2 5/8" wide, 12 7/8" tall. bowl about 1 1/4" diameter.
