Arthur Umanoff flip clock for Howard Miller Clock Company (a division of Herman Miller), designed in the late 1960s. Occasionally misattributed to George Nelson, who was Howard Miller's lead design consultant at the time but not the designer of this piece. This is the seemingly rarer aluminum-case version, not the rosewood and plexiglass variant. The internals are not visible from the exterior. Clock powers on and the red backlight illuminates. The motor does not advance the flip automatically, minutes must be turned forward by hand. Selling as-is. Good candidate for anyone wanting to service the motor or who is fine advancing it manually. Case is in solid condition with no major damage. This model does not come up for sale often. Great piece for a collection or as a manual-flip display piece.
