Vintage PINK Greyhound Whippet MCM Ceramic Dog Figurine ATTR Tilso 7 ¼" RARE HTF- 1950's or 60's? - "UNMARKED" ... except it says "24" in black marker underneath. (Please read all description info)
This item is VERY HARD TO FIND - (May be very rare and May be one-of-a-kind?? possibly, because after an extensive search of many different platforms - CANNOT FIND ANOTHER ONE JUST LIKE THIS IN "PINK".)
ChatGPT and Genesis A.I. were NOT ABLE TO FIND ONE JUST LIKE THIS anywhere online!!
Beautiful highly unique Mid-Century Modern (MCM) ceramic greyhound whipped figurine. It features a gorgeous matte pastel pink glaze with smooth finish with striking, hand-painted black trim highlighting the eyes, nose & paws. It is UNMARKED, but does have "24" written in marker underneath. It has the traditionalslip-cast vent hole on bottom. No chips or cracks. Please view photos carefully, as they form part of the description/condition. This is an exceptionally rare colorway and silhouette variation that is near impossible to find online. A perfect addition for any MCM kitsch collector, pastel home decor enthusiast or sighthound lover. It has the Japanese import look - 1950's - 60's, and looks like possibly Tilso / Japan, but here is no foil tag or no Tilso name anywhere. Not sure if it is Tilso or not. Not sure of the exact maker. The interior is white. Weight is approximately 8.6 ounces.
If you need additional pictures or have questions - please let me know.
