Vintage Toyota USA promotional Olympic patch associated with Toyota’s support of the U.S. Olympic Committee and the upcoming 1980 Olympic Games.

The patch reads:

“SELECTED BY THE U.S. OLYMPIC COMMITTEE”

“1980”

Features the Olympic rings and a red, white and blue USA shield design.

This appears to be associated with Toyota’s late-1970s Olympic promotional campaign leading up to the 1980 Games. Toyota advertising from 1978 promoted its “Million-Dollar-Dash for the 1980 Olympic Games” and offered buyers an Olympic pin, patch and certificate.

Vintage pre-owned condition with age-related wear. Backing shows wear and separation/lifting near the upper edge/corner, as shown in the photos. Some loose threads and general signs of age are present.
