Striking vintage religious/regal figurine dated © 1966 on the base.
Approximately 9 inches tall, this unusual piece features a painted female figure dressed in an elaborate cream satin and purple gown trimmed with layers of white lace. She wears an ornate gold-tone filigree crown accented with red stones and holds a blue-and-gold orb topped with a cross.
The figure beneath the clothing is painted and mounted on a green and gold base. The back has an impressed maker/origin marking that is difficult to read; please see close-up photo. Because the exact maker and religious figure have not been confirmed, she is being sold as shown rather than attributed incorrectly.
A beautiful display piece for collectors of vintage religious art, Madonna figures, Catholic collectibles, crowned religious statues, or unusual mid-century figurines.
Wild Dandelion. A little weird. Never ordinary.
