For your consideration is a highly collectible Griswold Erie No. 10 Cast Iron Skillet (716A). This very early Griswold skillet was made before Griswold put their name on it (sometimes referred to as \"pre-Griswold\"). There were known to be 6 different series of these Erie marked skillets made. This particular skillet is a third series since it features an outside heat ring and a catalog number. This series was produced between 1892 and 1905 making this skillet up to 134 years old. These are known to be exceptionally smooth and very lightweight.This particular skillet has a smooth surface but does show signs of use from its 130 year plus life. It sits completely flat and does not wobble or spin making it suitable for all cook surfaces.
